ARaymond was one of hundreds ofexhibitors from across the world to appear at IZB 2014, the leading trade fair for the European automotive supply chain industry.

The company has always exhibited at IZB to make new contacts and strengthen existing relationships with customers in the German automotive industry..

The booth also displayed the latest ARaymond™ products and innovations including airbag clips, expanding rivets for climate control units, a new ARaymond™ bonding solution, and state-of-the-art equipment developed by Rayce (ARaymond™ centre of expertise),to measure the oscillation of the spray from a nozzle.

Key Account Manager Michael Beyer said: “The fair was an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate the products and innovations in our portfolio. With the special display on our product development process, we were able to show manufacturers that we have all the competences to be their business partners on a long-term basis.

“Another of our objectives was to see our customers and it was really good to meet many of them face-to-face and some for the first time.We also made useful new contacts within purchasing and engineering departments and at tier one contractors, and networked with the delegations from other car makers.”

This year’s IZB attracted a record 800 exhibitors from 29 countries, and more than 51,000 visitors, which included a large number of key decision-makers from manufacturers and suppliers.

Conferences and forums at the event discussed trends and topics such as lightweight construction, sustainability and security, and the emerging markets in Southeast Asia.

“We have appeared at IZB since it started and this year we all agreed that we have never had so many people come to our booth,” added Mr Beyer.

“Besides our products and latest technology, visitors were interested to hear about our global footprint, our corporate values, and the advantages of working with a family-owned company.

“The feedback we received from our customers was very positive. They said our service was fast, friendly and supportive, and that ARaymond was the first name theythought of whenever they had a requirement for automotive fasteners.”

Perhapsthe most eye-catching exhibit on the ARaymond stand at IZB 2014 was alife-size statue of an automotive worker that was created by an artist using metal and plastic clips, fasteners and connectors from the ARaymond™ product range.
