A day of presentation of A Raymond products and innovations was held on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at the VECS facility in Montigny. (Valeo Electronics & Connective Systems )
Some sixty people representing several Valeo branches attended the various topical discussions and visited the showroom. In the wake of this event, meetings will be held regularly with the R&D departments in each company to pursue the work of standardising fasteners. The goal is to determine what areas VALEO and A Raymond might collaborate on to reduce the number of differences and lead to additional gains in productivity. A Raymond is among the suppliers with which VALEO works under the Convergence programme. This programme, launched by the VALEO group a year ago, is intended to increase purchasing from certain suppliers so as to be able to achieve significant gains in productivity. This is the case with A Raymond, a key supplier for the fastener segment and present in many countries around the world.
