Manufacturer of automotive fasteners for Indian market officially recognized for exemplary management of workforce
ARaymond India* has won a highly prestigious award from the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) for the quality of its human resources (HR) department.
The company, a leading supplier of automotive fastening and assembly solutions to Indian OEMs, won the Best Company in Human Resources category in the ACMA Awards 2014-15 and has been presented with a gold trophy in recognition of its all-round excellence in HR.
ACMA is the apex body of the Indian automotive component industry and represents more than 700 companies. The association supports the growth and development of the industry by promoting trade, encouraging investment in new technology, and collecting and disseminating best practice.
The ACMA Award: a tremendous achievement
“This award is a tremendous achievement for ARaymond India and everybody who works in our HR team,” said Manish Padharia, Managing Director of ARaymond India.
“The ACMA Awards are among the most coveted in the automotive industry and this year was the first time that the competition has included an HR category.
“ARaymond India was judged to be the best out of all the companies who entered after undergoing a comprehensive two-day evaluation by third-party auditors who reviewed all our HR documentation and processes, toured our production facilities and interviewed many of our employees.”
The award was presented by Anant Geete, India’s Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, at ACMA’s 55th Annual Session and National Conference in New Delhi. Also in attendance at the ceremony were Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Finance, Osamu Suzuki, Chairman and CEO of Suzuki Motors, Vinod Dasari, Managing Director of Ashok Leyland, and Ramesh Suri, the outgoing President of ACMA.
ARaymond India employs 204 people in total at its modern production plant in Pune, near Mumbai, and in its three sales and marketing offices.
