Currently more and more OEM’s worldwide require so called ‘latching witness’ features on fluid handling connectors, particularly on sensitive fuel system joints.

The aim of this kind of feature is to achieve a 100% proper connection and positive locking between the female QC and the male stub. Currently, additional components had to be produced, assembled and shipped along with our Quick Connector.
Extra cost and sometimes poor handling and packaging situations were the consequences.

Based upon a "positive locking" principle, Rayconnect new P2L® Quick Connector provides a simple and compact way to fulfill the OEM’s expectations.  Indeed, this Rayconnect QC is locked and checked manually without any additional component unlike the standard automatic spring based product. Finally, a potential technical disadvantage (no automatic locking) is in fact a key success factor. A manual locking operation gives a much more reliable feed back to the operator because the retainer can only be moved into the locked position when the end piece is properly inserted and has reached the end stop position. More, an internal design feature prevents the locking of the retainer when the end piece is just partially engaged. This added value function clearly shows the difference between the unlocked shipped condition and the locked assembled condition.

The new Rayconnect Quick Connector P2L® which stands for "Push-to-lock" with its unique properties is being used on fuel systems and oil cooling lines. This safety product ensures maximum performance and highest safety over the life time of the vehicles.
